Oct.17,Shanxi price department decides to increase the coal transportation fees, which will take effect on some state-owned key access rails for coalmine in Shanxi Province. The new prices are 0.0615 USD per kilometer per ton when deliveries of cargo occur at the joints of colliery and road, and 0.0439 USD per kilometer per ton with delivery in the mine train. In the past years, the price of raw materials, power and fuel rise sharply, and so was the transportation cost, really resulting in price up this time.

Thanks to the integrated coalmine project in the first half of 2009 in Shanxi, a lot of private investment has reduced. 7.325 billion USD in private capital from Wenzhou Zhejiang Province has been crowded out. As many as 70 percent of all the mines in Shanxi has been nationalized, so the rising price doesn’t cause much oppose or challenge.

At the earliest of Mar.25, Department of Land Resources of Shanxi Province has passed the Coalmine Enterprises Merger Act. From then on, the huge state-owned coal firms are encouraged to offer low price for the small ones. Until 2010, DLRS aims to reserve 1000 coal mines, which will have a yearly capacity of more than 3 million ton. And the rest 1598 mines have to be annexed.
