Stephanie D., a citizen from Jal El-Dib, complains of having waited in line from 7:30 till 10:30 a.m. before being given the opportunity to vote. After arriving at the poll station in a public school in Jal El-Dib, directions were confusing to Stephanie, as well as to all other voters. The supervisors at the site were said to not have been useful in giving out adequate instructions. Poll supervisors also created sentiments of frustration by letting citizens cut in the long lines. Priority was given to those who resembled higher hierarchical importance, and the elderly were given no choice but to stand endlessly for longer hours. The voting process was deemed so slow that citizens were said to have given up by leaving the poll station without placing their vote.
