<p>A program by United Press International, Inc. (UPI), UPIU is a social media platform that aims to bring together the voices of student journalists and journalism students. Your work can live beyond a professor’s desk. </p>
<p>More than just another social network, UPIU wants to harness the powers of both traditional and emerging new media to bring the stories that matter to the world’s attention, beyond just the Internet. Our editors review submissions daily, seeking the stories that deserve global attention. UPI will publish these stories, channeling your images, text, and videos through print, radio, TV and other multimedia outlets throughout the world.</p>
<p>When you post your content, you will get ratings and feedback to help you improve your trade. With a global audience, each member is an opportunity to build your international professional network. And when UPI publishes your work, you’ll get the byline; you’ll keep the copyright.</p>

<p><strong>Build your profile</strong>: UPIU lets you create a professional profile, with a unique URL with your name, that includes a brief bio, your photo and your content portfolio.</p>
<p><strong>Upload content</strong>: Upload unlimited multimedia content to your portfolio.</p>
<p><strong>Get feedback</strong>: Viewer and peer ratings and comments will give you feedback to help you hone your multimedia and writing skills and boost your story’s visibility on the homepage and relevant category pages.</p>
<p><strong>Connect</strong>: With UPIU, you’re reporting in conversation with colleagues and viewers from journalism schools and audiences all over the world. Message your audience and leave feedback. Expand your professional network.</p>
<p><strong>Be published</strong>: UPI editors reviewing UPIU submissions daily. Qualified and newsworthy video, text or photo stories are given a UPI byline and are:</p>
