UPIU Flagging Policy

UPIU.com operates under a self-policing model, which allows the UPIU.com community of users to flag reasonably objectionable postings (both content and comments) for removal from the site.

Flagging Posts

To flag a post, simply click on the "flag post" link located at the top right of any submission.

Users must provide a valid reason when flagging posted content. A user choosing to flag a post may select one of the following reasons from the drop-down list provided.

  • Fraudulent Credentials
  • Miscategorized
  • Factually Inaccurate
  • Plagiarized
  • Copyright Violation
  • Offensive
  • Other

Additional information explaining why the post should be taken down can be entered in the text box provided.

Flagging Comments

To flag a comment, simply click on the link at the top right of the comment board located below a post. Users choosing to flag a comment must provide a reason in the text box that appears.

Once a post has been flagged, the post will be temporarily removed from UPIU.com and reviewed by our staff. If a flagged post is found to meet our terms and conditions , the post will be restored to the site, reflecting any necessary changes. If the post is found to conflict with our terms and conditions, the content will remain inactive and will not be restored to the site.

Posters whose content is repeatedly flagged are subject to staff review and possible account termination from UPIU.com.
