Audra Ang

Bio:
Audra Ang started as a reporter in Seattle after graduating from the University of Washington. She has worked in New York as an editor and has reported from China, North Korea, Mongolia, Thailand, Pakistan and Afghanistan in the last 15 years.
She was a 2009-2010 Nieman fellow at Harvard University and is now a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley's Center for Chinese Studies.
Her first book, "To the People, Food is Heaven," about how the meals she had in China helped shape her reporting experiences and insights, will be published in September 2012.
Ang grew up in Singapore and is obsessed with food -- mainly eating lots of it.
