THE PRESENT STRUGGLES IN CHRISTIANITY (Read)
In addition to language problems, this isn't suitable for UPI because it is, as you note, an opinion piece. As a blog, it would no doubt resonate with many who have similar experiences.
Very good points! Makes me remember my early writing years too...lots of fond (but scary) memories!
I just became a Christian a month ago and it was the best experience in my life. You could say it was life changing. But I have also noticed the problems you had addressed in this article in our country, the Philippines. Especially church leaders facing different charges. Anyway, as Christians, I think it will help us preserve the pureness of Christianity by being discerning. We should be able to see and choose the right people that we are going to follow in our spiritual growth. Really, God gave us intelligence for the purpose of choosing the right path that will lead us to His glorious kingdom and I guess as an individual, we can do that.

Great topic! You have some good reporting here ... is it from your own interviews or from other news sources? (Interior Ministry source, prime minister, etc.)
Also, since this happened a couple of days ago, please update the story by saying anything new about it. Did the person get set free? Has a court date been set? Are Islamic leaders saying anything new? (etc.)
This story needs just a little more reporting and updating to make it a good candidate for UPI.com!
