About Chandrani
I am a journalist from India currently living in Rockville, Maryland.
I started out in New Delhi with ANI and then moved on to ZEE News and then to TARA Bangla before leaving for the U.S. to pursue higher studies.
During my reporting days in Delhi, some of my most profound moments were while covering stories related to the Kargil war, and a series on inmates of Tihar Jail. I've also worked on female foeticide, violence in police custody, child labor, and illegal immigration from Bangladesh.
I currently look into issues of women, children, conflict management and cultural assimilation in the United States.
Threads: Calcutta University, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, Radford University, Virginia

It would be good to get a comment from at least one other expert on foreign antiquities. You could also get someone from a bank or other financial institution (maybe an auction house?) who could talk a little more about how diamonds and other gems may be in an antiquities category all their own in terms of being bought and sold.
A good story has more than one source.
Separately, the quote "stolen from them," coming from someone in Egypt should be attributed or else paraphrased.
Nice pictures. Please make sure to always include the who, what, where, when, why and how if necessary in the picture cutline, which should be able to stand on its own. Please see the first picture cutline as a guideline.
