Hanny's Restaurant owners have re-made a former men's clothing store into the newest upscale eatery in downtown Phoenix. (Read)
This is a good start to a nice feature about a Phoenix restaurant. It would be good to get comments from customers, the chamber of commerce and others about why this restaurant is unique, or how it is doing in the current recession. Additional numbers (how much the restaurant makeover cost, how many years it might take to break even, why the owner decided on this location in terms of building price, etc.) would make this a great business story!
This story would need to illustrate a broader "trend" to be considered for the UPI.com Web site.

This is a great business story that could easily be expanded to discuss how restaurants are doing across the country. It would be good to get national statistics on how restaurants are doing, what owners are doing to draw in more customers, etc.
If you can do that additional reporting, this story is a great candidate for UPI.com!
